He co-founded and acted as <abbr>CEO<\/abbr> of Kanu <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Hawai&#699;i<\/span>, a non-profit that works to encourage sustainable behavior change and collective action. Kanu built a membership of 18,000 individuals spread across every Hawaiian island, 300 U.S. mainland communities and 12 countries in under 5 years. Additionally, Koshiba supports a variety of start-up social ventures, including Mindful <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Hawai&#699;i<\/span>, a resource for mindful living, island style.<\/p>\n<p>The event is free and open to all University of <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Hawai&#699;i<\/span> students.
