As a part of Get Job Ready: Celebrating Career and Technical Education (CTE<\/abbr>) Month<\/a> at Leeward Community College<\/a>, a full slate of information sessions and an open house are offered to provide an in-depth look at career programs available at Leeward CC<\/abbr>. Governor David Ige kicked off the month long celebration with a proclamation in recognition of “their outstanding contribution to our state.”<\/p>\n

Organized by program coordinators, the information sessions are open to the general public. ¶«¾«Ó°Òµees will be able to learn more about the degree and certificate options and meet the instructors and students enrolled in the program. Degree requirements, support services available for Leeward CC<\/abbr> students and financial aid options will be covered.<\/p>\n

This is the third year Leeward has mounted a variety of activities to increase awareness of the many program and career options available.<\/p>\n

“The activities planned in February illustrate the rigor and relevance career and technical education courses offered to our students,” said Ron Umehira<\/strong>, dean of Career and Technical Education<\/a>. “By partnering with the business community, CTE<\/abbr> programs are investing in students’ lives with the latest technology and skills that will prepare them to become successful employees as well as future leaders.”<\/p>\n
