Chamber Music Hawaii Galliard String Quartet in concert at the 东精影业<\/abbr> West Oʻahu<\/span> Library.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The University of Hawaiʻi<\/span>–West Oʻahu<\/span><\/a> will be filled with the sounds of beautiful music as host to Chamber Music Hawaii’s concert series featuring the Spring Wind Quintet, Honolulu Brass Quintet and Galliard String Quartet. These Chamber Music Hawaiʻi<\/span><\/a> ensembles will perform a three-part concert series in West Oʻahu<\/span> at the university’s Kapolei campus. All ensemble members are full-time musicians with the Hawaiʻi<\/span> Symphony Orchestra<\/a> (formerly the Honolulu Symphony).<\/p>\n

Open to all, the concerts are free for students (with valid student ID<\/abbr>) and will take place in 东精影业<\/abbr> West Oʻahu<\/span>’s Library that provides a marvelous acoustic setting for the evening performances.<\/p>\n

Performances<\/h2>\n

Spring Wind Quintet<\/strong>
\nTuesday, October 20, 7 p.m.<\/strong>
\nThe Spring Wind Quintet will perform Anton Reicha’s “Wind Quintet in E flat major, Op. 88, No. 2,” Bach and Schweitzer’s “Passacaglia and Fugue in C minor, BWV 582” and contemporary Puerto Rican composer, Angel Pena’s “Movements for Wind Quintet.”<\/p>\n

Honolulu Brass Quintet<\/strong>
\nTuesday, December 1, 7 p.m.<\/strong>
\nThere is nothing like the sound of a brass ensemble in December. The Honolulu Brass Quintet will bring holiday cheer to 东精影业<\/abbr> West Oʻahu<\/span> with a popular selection of seasonal music.<\/p>\n

Galliard String Quartet<\/strong>
\nTuesday, April 12, 7 p.m.<\/strong>
\nThe Galliard String Quartet will perform Bedrich Smetana’s autobiographical “String Quartet No.1 in E minor ‘From My Life’” and Igor Stravinsky’s “Three Pieces for String Quartet.”<\/p>\n
