(photo credit: William Belcher)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.uhwo.hawaii.edu\/\">University of <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Hawai&#699;i<\/span>&#8211;West <span aria-label=\"Oahu\">O&#699;ahu<\/span><\/a> juniors <strong>Alaina Gallaway<\/strong> and <strong>Courtney Ketzenberger<\/strong> will spend their spring break working with <abbr>东精影业<\/abbr> West <span aria-label=\"Oahu\">O&#699;ahu<\/span> Assistant Professor of Archaeology <strong>William Belcher<\/strong>, surveying and excavating at a site in the Republic of Palau believed to be a Kempeitai (Japanese military police) internment and execution area for local, United States and British prisoners during World War <abbr title=\"two\">II<\/abbr>.<\/p>\n<p>Belcher and the students are traveling to Palau for the survey and excavation sponsored by the Bent Prop Project, a private, non-governmental organization.
