The money enabled the staff to begin collecting, processing and preserving <span aria-label=\"ohia\">&#699;&#333;hi&#699;a<\/span> seeds for future re-introduction into the Hawaiian forest.<\/p>\n<p>Rapid <span aria-label=\"Ohia\">&#699;&#332;hi&#699;a<\/span> Death is a virulent disease that has killed more than 100,000 <span aria-label=\"ohia\">&#699;&#333;hi&#699;a<\/span> trees on <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Hawai&#699;i<\/span> Island, impacting the entire Hawaiian forest ecosystem.
