In 2015, Lassner authorized an updated executive policy on sex discrimination and gender-based violence, and the University of <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Hawai&#699;i<\/span> established the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/titleix\">Office of Institutional Equity<\/a>, to oversee <abbr>东精影业<\/abbr>&#8217;s initiatives on Title <abbr>IX<\/abbr> and the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) across all 10 campuses.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/2016\/04\/05\/new-consensual-relationships-policy-established\/\"><em>New consensual relationships policy established<\/em><\/a>, April 5, 2016 <\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/2015\/09\/01\/uh-adopts-interim-policy-on-sex-discrimination-and-gender-based-violence\/\"><em><abbr>东精影业<\/abbr> adopts interim policy on sex discrimination and gender-based violence<\/em><\/a>, September 1, 2015<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&ldquo;Through the Legislature&#8217;s support in the last year, we launched our new Office of Institutional Equity, which provides centralized, systemwide leadership and technical assistance for all ten campuses,&rdquo; said Lassner. &ldquo;Of note, <abbr>东精影业<\/abbr> and the Office of Institutional Equity have developed materials based on new federal guidance for transgender individuals in the university at a faster rate than in many other states. We are making final revisions to our interim policy addressing sex discrimination and gender violence.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>As part of the effort, the university launched a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/titleix\">systemwide website<\/a>, provided extensive live training and is implementing online training on Title <abbr>IX<\/abbr> and <abbr>VAWA<\/abbr> for all employees and students.
