For the fifth consecutive year, the University of Hawaiʻi<\/span> Bookstore System<\/a> released official licensed “HI<\/abbr> Pride” T-shirts designed by a 东精影业<\/abbr> student.<\/p>\n

The shirts were selected from the 东精影业<\/abbr> Bookstores’ annual HI<\/abbr> Pride T-shirt Contest, which asks 东精影业<\/abbr> students to submit designs that show what “HI<\/abbr> Pride” or “Hawaiʻi<\/span> Pride” means to them. Five semi-finalist designs were then put online for a public poll to choose the winner.<\/p>\n

With 948 public votes, the winning design came from University of Hawaiʻi<\/span> at Mānoa<\/a> student Brigette Agustin<\/strong> of Kohala, Hawaiʻi<\/span>. Agustin’s design incorporated the Hawaiʻi<\/span> island chain to form the letters “HI<\/abbr>” in “HI<\/abbr> Pride.”<\/p>\n

“Hawaiʻi<\/span> gives us so much to be thankful for,” Agustin said. “I wanted to use this design as our reminder to reciprocate, because no matter where we go from here, we will always be connected, and we will always have HI<\/abbr> Pride. This is home.”<\/p>\n

As winner of the contest, Agustin collected her very own HI<\/abbr> Pride T-shirt, a $200 东精影业<\/abbr> Bookstores gift card, and a $100 prize pack of school supplies from 东精影业<\/abbr> Bookstores. 东精影业<\/abbr> Mānoa student Celeste Guarin<\/strong> also won prizes for her runner-up design, which received 616 votes.<\/p>\n

HI<\/abbr> Pride T-shirts are printed in 东精影业<\/abbr> campus colors and feature the words “University of Hawaiʻi<\/span>” to promote school spirit. Students receive a discount on their first 2016 HI<\/abbr> Pride T-shirt purchased with valid 东精影业<\/abbr> student ID<\/abbr>.<\/p>\n
