All the works were created during the current and previous semester in painting, drawing, printmaking, ceramics, digital photography, film photography and fashion technology classes.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>There will be more than 100 artworks on display by 80 different students. The range of art is broad&#8212;created in 12 different art classes that include introductory studio classes, intermediate or advanced studio classes, and  survey of art classes that experiment with diverse media.\u00a0The exhibition is not juried, but the students and faculty choose the most remarkable works to include in the show.\u00a0The exhibit occupies the open space in the center of the college library, a generous exhibition space that surrounds a large skylight &ldquo;light well.&rdquo;\u00a0Media as diverse as hand developed and printed photographs, paintings, ceramics, hand-dyed fabrics and hand-pulled prints will be on display.<\/p>\n<p>Every semester, <abbr>东精影业<\/abbr> Maui College&#8217;s Student Art Exhibition seems to grow in both quality and quantity. The artworks reflect growing student accomplishment as momentum has grown in the art program over the past 15 years.\u00a0In 2001 there were only two part-time art faculty teaching six art classes in total each semester.\u00a0Now there are two full-time and five part-time faculty members offering more than 18 classes each semester.<\/p>\n<h2>New associate degree in art program<\/h2>\n<p>For the first time, <abbr>东精影业<\/abbr> Maui College is offering a two-year associates degree in art. The associate of science degree in creative media was approved by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/offices\/bor\"><abbr>东精影业<\/abbr> Board of Regents<\/a> this past summer, and is now available to students on Maui.
