International Education Week is an annual national and international celebration of the contributions of international education in global cooperation and bridging gaps for people worldwide. The governor remarked that diversity and cross cultural understanding are hallmarks of our state. <\/p>\n<p>University of <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Hawai&#699;i<\/span> President <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/leadership\/david-lassner\/\"><strong>David Lassner<\/strong><\/a> also spoke at the ceremony, observing that <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Hawai&#699;i<\/span>&#8217;s community across public and private educational sectors were present to share this event. He noted that international education is fundamental at <abbr>东精影业<\/abbr> and described an array of events presented by students, faculty and guests throughout the week on campuses statewide.<\/p>\n<p>Study <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Hawai&#699;i<\/span> members represent a range of educational institutions in <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Hawai&#699;i<\/span>, including public and private higher education, K&#8211;12 preparatory schools and language schools. Members support international education in the belief that it is critical to fostering peace, security, well-being and addressing global challenges that transcend national borders.  <\/p>\n<p>The governor&#8217;s proclamation was presented to Study <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Hawai&#699;i<\/span> President <strong>Todd Shumway<\/strong> of <a href=\"https:\/\/hilo.hawaii.edu\/\"><abbr>东精影业<\/abbr> Hilo<\/a> and Vice President <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/sls\/people\/faculty-apt\/weaver\/\"><strong>Joel Weaver<\/strong><\/a> of <a href=\"http:\/\/manoa.hawaii.edu\/\"><abbr>东精影业<\/abbr> M&#257;noa<\/a>.
