University of Hawaiʻi<\/span> at Hilo<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Na Pua Noʻeau–The Center for Gifted and Talented Native Hawaiian Children at\u00a0University of Hawaiʻi<\/span> at Hilo<\/a>\u00a0has received funding from the Office of Hawaiian Affairs<\/a> (OHA) ʻAhahui<\/span> Grants to strengthen its impact on the state. The center will work in partnership with other 东精影业<\/abbr> campuses to deliver programs and events to promote higher education opportunities for high school student.<\/p>\n

东精影业<\/abbr> Maui College event<\/h2>\n

On February 23, 2017, Na Pua Noʻeau<\/span> will present E Hoʻokamaʻaina<\/span> at 东精影业 Maui College<\/a> to inspire students to enter into higher education and further their career aspirations. High school juniors and seniors will learn about the various degree programs at 东精影业<\/abbr> Maui College from faculty and program coordinators. OHA<\/abbr> awarded a total of $5,300 for this event.<\/p>\n

东精影业<\/abbr> Mānoa event<\/h2>\n

Ma Uka a i Kai Akamai Engineers will be held on April 3, 2017 at the 东精影业<\/abbr> Mānoa<\/a>. K–12 students and their ʻohana<\/span> will explore hands-on how engineering practices (mechanical, electric, civil, etc.) were applied during the days of their kupuna. The Native Hawaiian Science and Engineering Mentorship Program<\/a> is a partner in the event and OHA<\/abbr> awarded $1,950 to this program.<\/p>\n

ʻAhahui<\/span> Grants support community events that meet at least one primary strategic result. The events will address OHA<\/abbr>’s Exceed Education Standards and 东精影业<\/abbr>’s Hawaiʻi<\/span> Graduation Initiative.<\/p>\n
