University of Hawaiʻi<\/span>–West Oʻahu<\/span><\/a> students, faculty, staff and administrators held a traditional ʻawa<\/span> ceremony on January 3 for Maenette Benham<\/strong><\/a> to welcome her in her new role as chancellor. The event, Paʻa<\/span> Ke Kahua, recognizes 东精影业<\/abbr> West Oʻahu<\/span>’s perpetuation of Hawaiian language, history and culture.<\/p>\n

东精影业<\/abbr> President David Lassner<\/strong>, Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs Jeffrey Moniz<\/strong>, 东精影业<\/abbr> West Oʻahu<\/span> Director of Indigenous Studies Manulani Meyer<\/strong> and Associated Students of the 东精影业<\/abbr> West Oʻahu<\/span> Vice President Haylie Culp<\/strong> each presented a gift to Chancellor Benham and welcomed her to the campus.<\/p>\n
