Sobel is the acclaimed author of <em>Longitude: The True Story of a Lone Genius Who Solved the Greatest Scientific Problem of His Time<\/em> and <em>Galileo&#8217;s Daughter: A Historical Memoir of Science, Faith and Love<\/em>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>June 27, 7:30 p.m.&#8212;music, imagery and narrative, with Perpetual Motion: Galileo and His Revolutions. A moving and compelling account of a remarkable moment in the history of science, human thought and music, Perpetual Motion ties together the groundbreaking repertoire of Galileo&#8217;s day with narration by acclaimed best-selling science writer Dava Sobel, and images of Earth and the cosmos.
