Hundreds of University of Hawaiʻi<\/span> at M\u0101noa<\/a>‘s students were reminded to love life at the Love Life Fair at the Campus Center on September 11. The fair provided resources and information on suicide prevention and how students can help and support their peers as the university marked National Suicide Prevention Week.<\/p>\n

The event by the 东精影业<\/abbr> M\u0101noa Counseling and Student Development Center<\/a> (CSDC) featured more than 15 different departments, offices and community organizations providing students with psychoeducational activities, resources, games, giveaways, music and prizes.<\/p>\n

“I thought the fair was a very engaging and important event for the campus,” said Joey Brown<\/strong>, 东精影业<\/abbr> M\u0101noa senior. “I definitely feel more informed about where to find support.”<\/p>\n

Highlights include educational activities by CSDC<\/abbr> counselors, resources from community organizations such as the Crisis Line of Hawaiʻi<\/span>, a photo booth and therapy dogs provided by Tails of Aloha<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“This year, we partnered with more sister departments and community organizations than ever before, reached a greater number of students and overall enhanced what we do at our Love Life events,” said Allyson Tanouye<\/strong>, CSDC<\/abbr> director. “It shows the strong commitment we all have for our students, that we are here for them and that we truly care. We will continue to improve what we do year after year.”<\/p>\n

CSDC<\/abbr> provides counseling services, workshops, outreach, consultation and training programs for the 东精影业<\/abbr> M\u0101noa community. CSDC<\/abbr> also provides crisis\/emergency services for students, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.<\/p>\n
