One of the highlights was a video of the University of <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Hawai&#699;i<\/span>&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/uhcc.hawaii.edu\/culinary\/\">Culinary Institute of the Pacific<\/a>, which is one of the festival&#8217;s seven community beneficiaries.<\/p>\n<p>The video featured Chef Alan Wong and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kapiolani.hawaii.edu\/\"><span aria-label=\"Kapiolani\">Kapi&#699;olani<\/span> Community College<\/a> Instructor <strong>Tiffanie\u200b \u200bMasutani<\/strong>&#8212;both graduates of the <span aria-label=\"Kapiolani\">Kapi&#699;olani<\/span>&#8217;s culinary program. Narrated by Michael W. Perry, the video highlights the Culinary Institute of the Pacific&#8217;s world-class facility which will serve students from all over the state. It was produced by Wendy Suite and Keoni Fernandez of Makaha Studios, with development assistance from Kelvin Ro.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/culinary-institute-of-the-pacific.jpg\" alt=\"exterior of the Culinary Institute of the Pacific\" width=\"676\" height=\"381\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-70571\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/culinary-institute-of-the-pacific.jpg 676w, https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/culinary-institute-of-the-pacific-300x169.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 676px) 100vw, 676px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Culinary Institute of the Pacific is a collaborative initiative of six food service training programs within the University of <a href=\"http:\/\/uhcc.hawaii.edu\/\"><span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Hawai&#699;i<\/span> Community College system<\/a> on the four major islands. The vision is an advanced culinary campus that will benefit students from <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Hawai&#699;i<\/span> and the world who wish to hone their culinary skills and receive their third-year professional training certificate in restaurants and business management at the Diamond Head facility.
