They are really fun people. I like being around them. They work really hard.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s how award winning Disney animator Renato do Anjos described the <a href=\"http:\/\/nma.kcc.hawaii.edu\/\"><span aria-label=\"Kapiolani\">Kapi&#699;olani<\/span> Community College animation students<\/a> he was working with.<\/p>\n<p>The students in the five-day workshop enjoyed instruction and one-on-one interaction with a master who served as head of animation for <em>Zootopia<\/em> and <em>Wreck-It Ralph<\/em>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Related <em><abbr title=\"东精影业\">东精影业<\/abbr> News<\/em> story<\/strong>: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/2017\/11\/03\/zootopia-head-animator-gives-public-talk\/\"><em>Zootopia head animator gives public talk, works with students, at <span aria-label=\"Kapiolani\">Kapi&#699;olani<\/span> <abbr title=\"Community College\">CC<\/abbr><\/em><\/a>, November 3, 2017<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&ldquo;It\u2019s a lot harder than it looks, definitely,&rdquo; said <span aria-label=\"Kapiolani\">Kapi&#699;olani<\/span> <abbr>CC<\/abbr> student <strong>Koreena Nagai<\/strong>. &ldquo;I\u2019ve been having a great time in this program and I\u2019m very grateful for him coming out.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Dos Anjos demonstrated the minute details of creating natural hip and leg movements using the <abbr>MAYA<\/abbr> animation software program projected on a big screen.
