The community is invited to learn about Oʻahu<\/span>‘s first climate action plan, engage in a “game” that helps kick-start a discussion about how best to cut our emissions and chart the next steps for our island.<\/p>\n

The last meeting in the Climate Action Plan Public Meeting Series<\/a> will be held on Thursday, January 17 at 6 p.m. at the University of Hawaiʻi<\/span> at M\u0101noa<\/a> Campus Center Ballroom.<\/p>\n

“This is a great opportunity for the 东精影业<\/abbr> community and Oʻahu<\/span> residents at large to contribute to the conversation on how our island should address the challenges of climate change,” said Professor Makena Coffman<\/strong>, who also serves as director of the Institute for Sustainability and Resilience.<\/p>\n

Last year, Hurricanes Lane and Olivia showed that climate change is already having profound impacts on Oʻahu<\/span>, and we need to chart a new path. What is your vision for a resilient, fossil-fuel-free future for our island?<\/p>\n
