Nancy J. Morris, Librarian Emerita of the ¶«¾«Ó°Òµ Library.

The talk concerns the interaction of artist/photographer and subject, as illustrated by competing views of William Kaulehelehe, pastor for the Hudson Bay Company in the Pacific Northwest; J. W. Kanoa, missionary to the Gilbert Islands; Puaaiki, early Hawaiian Christian convert; Henry Nalimu, missionary to the Gilbert Islands.

Nancy J Morris PhD is a librarian emerita, ¶«¾«Ó°Òµ. Her research interests center on Hawaiian and Pacific Island history. Her most recent book is Na Kahu: Portraits of the Nineteenth Century Native Hawaiian Ministry (¶«¾«Ó°Òµ Press, 2019).
