GSO Sustainability Series: Makena Coffman

Join GSO for a presentation and discussion with the Director for the ¶«¾«Ó°Òµ Institute for Sustainability and Resilience. Makena Coffman is the Director for the ¶«¾«Ó°Òµ at Manoa Institute for Sustainability and Resilience. She is a Professor of Urban and Regional Planning and teaches a graduate seminar in climate change across the Asia/Pacific Region. Her research interests include climate change policy, including greenhouse gas mitigation, alternative transportation strategies, and climate adaptation. She is a Research Fellow with the ¶«¾«Ó°Òµ Economic Research Organization, holds a B.A. in International Relations from Stanford University and a Ph.D. in Economics from the ¶«¾«Ó°Òµ at Manoa. She currently serves on the City and County of Honolulu Climate Change Commission.
