Please join us at the BSC Spring Festival: Nurturing Mind & Body! April 6, 2024 9:30 am – 2:00 pm Buddhist Study Center 1436 University Ave We are excited to host our first ever Spring Festival grand re-opening of the Buddhist Study Center to the Manoa/Moiliili/McCully/Makiki community. The purpose of this event is to showcase the Hongwanji and BSC offerings to the community, and increase awareness of the facility to encourage participation and use. Everyone – students, faculty, community members, and families – is welcome. Entertainment, Booths & Activities (parking lot, beginning at 9:30 am): Pacific Buddhist Academy Taiko, Matcha with a Minister, Honpa Hongwanji Traveling Bookstore, BSC Fellowship Club Buddha in Your Pocket butsudan making, Lay Minister’s Association Intro to Buddhism, Shakuhachi, Ikebana Flower Arranging, Samaritan Counseling Center Hawaii, Children’s Activities Booth, & FOOD (musubis, snacks, and more!) Workshops (upstairs lecture hall): 10 am Stress & Coping Skills, 11 am Yoga, 12 pm Wahiawa Blue Zones Healthy Cooking, 1 pm Bokashi Composting We hope to see you at our inaugural event. FREE folding eco bag and reuseable cup (water stations will be available) will be distributed while supplies last. ¶«¾«Ó°Òµees are encouraged to walk, bike, or take public transportation if possible. Parking is available at the UH Manoa Lot 20 structure (cost is approximately $5 per day).
