Archives 101: Preparing for Archives Research
February 25, 2:00pm - 3:15pmMānoa Campus, Hamilton Library
In this workshop, facilitated by Hamilton Library archivists, you'll learn what archives are, how to use finding aids, and how to prepare for archives visits (including visits abroad) so that you can maximize your time in the archives. By the end of the workshop you will have compiled a matrix identifying what kinds of primary sources exist for your topic, what you hope to learn from those sources, and in what types of archives you might find those sources. Being able to answer these questions can help to structure and guide your archival research journey. Must register in advance to reserve an in-person seat. Spaces are limited. This event is co-sponsored by Graduate Division and UH 惭腻苍辞补's Hamilton Library.
