Achievements and Challenges of Korea's Mandatory Disability Employment System

Hosted by the Global Affairs Committee and Department of Social Work's Workforce Development Hub: This lecture examines Korea’s mandatory employment system for persons with disabilities, with a focus on its policy framework, recent outcomes, and persistent challenges. It also introduces practical support measures for both employers and workers with disabilities, showcases examples of inclusive workplace practices, and discusses how the system can move beyond formal quota compliance toward more meaningful labor inclusion and the realization of disability rights.
