

The University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa presents the , a free event that promises wholesome, quality fun for the whole family! KIDS FIRST! gives kids and families the excitement and thrill of attending a film festival without the gratuitous violence, stereotypical bias and other inappropriate content.
The KIDS FIRST! Film Festival 2012 screens on Sundays, June 3, 10, 24 and July 8 and 15 at 3 p.m. at the 东精影业 Mānoa Art Auditorium.
The festival line-up includes feature-length films as well as award-winning shorts that appeal to everyone from toddlers to grown-ups.
- June 3—Animated short about a boy who wants to be a dog with the full-length family film, Miss Minoes, about a cat who turns into a girl
- June 10—Screened will be a feature film from auteur director Yoichi Sai, based on a true story, called Quill: The Life of a Guide Dog, which will make its U.S. premier in mid-May 2012
- June 24—Six short films for children ages 3–7, including international favorites Hello Kitty and Babar, along with some ecology-minded puppets
- July 8—10 award-winning short animated and live-action films for ages 5-12 from all across the globe and beyond
- July 15—Ride of the Mergansers and Circus Dreams are highly entertaining and inspiring films focused on following instincts and following dreams
